A few things

This has nothing remotely to do with Japanese stocks.

1. If you work for a related organization and are reading this, please arrange to stop asking whether I want to join the Starwood Preferred Guest program.

2. I have been very busy lately, mainly watching films, trying out new restaurants, and getting smoked on shorting US companies selling what essentially appears, at least to me, to be hope and mirrors. If you have a lot of hope and mirrors, perhaps this is a good time to get rid of them.

3. Since this blog is all about providing value, here is some instant value creation:

Yesterday I watched Life of Pi, and today I watched Puss in Boots.

Here’s a storyline of Life of Pi: Boy gets in boat, tiger is in boat, tiger goes away, boy is safe.

There.

By ruining the story for you, I have saved you not only direct out-of-pocket expenses, but also your most important resource – for what could be more precious than time itself. Now, take those two hours and invest them in Puss in Boots.

Is Puss in Boots worth watching though? :) Beside, I think everyone know that Pi will still survive anyway. You are surely right about time though, the most valuable resource known to humankind. A everlasting chilling reminder of our mortality.

It seems to me that Puss in Boots is a very important production.

Not only is it the first animated dramatization featuring a cat as the protagonist (that I am aware of), but it also offers above-average entertainment value. And who, in our world of fear and drudgery, doesn’t need for a modicum of light relief?
