A modest proposal to improve your brain’s stock data processing functionality

by admin on March 29, 2013

If you are a little like me, then you will have moments when your brain refuses to process additional data.

This can be an issue if, for example, you want to reduce your overall exposure and your brain is not cooperating when you look through the list of your holdings.

And that is why I create a summary of shares I am researching, which puts all the most important data in one place and pokes my memory into recalling what the nagging issue is with each given stock.

Here is what it looks like:

It’s very simple to do.

There are two steps to it:

1. Get all the data you want into Excel and/or paste links to where it is

2. Simply send the file to one of your employees and ask them to format it.

Little things can make life a lot easier.

Also, I share my worksheet with my latest stocks I am looking at (between 10 – 60 at a time) with some thoughtful people with good ideas – you never know when it can help to have a second opinion.
